It was a good run, but the Granville Golden Horde unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Fort Edward by a score of 48-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Granville has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Granville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liam Farrell. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Jennings, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Granville's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Fort Edward, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Granville will stay at home for another game and welcome Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Warrensburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Fort Edward, they will head out on the road to square off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
