The Point Loma Pointers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Del Norte Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Point Loma has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 163 points over their last four matchups.
With a playoff game on the line, Point Loma rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against Scripps Ranch as Point Loma made off with a 32-12 win. Point Loma might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Brady Allen, who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Del Norte strolled past Oceanside with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 26-11.
Del Norte can attribute much of their success to Ty Olsen, who picked up 53 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Jack Schneider, who threw for 132 yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Del Norte's defense and their four sacks. Khalid Farah was especially locked on to Oceanside's QB and sacked him twice.
Point Loma has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Del Norte, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Everything came up roses for Point Loma against Del Norte when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 49-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Point Loma since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
