Cape Henry Collegiate is 8-2 against Peninsula Catholic since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Dolphins will host the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cape Henry Collegiate's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Norfolk Academy 11-0. The Dolphins haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Alex Bernstein was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with five stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Devalda, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Peninsula Catholic made easy work of Norfolk Christian last Wednesday and carried off a 17-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly 16 runs.
Alyssa Casey made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Casey was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wilnette Torres, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI. Megan Schulte was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Peninsula Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Cape Henry Collegiate's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Peninsula Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cape Henry Collegiate has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .561. However, it's not like Peninsula Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .492. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
