Laurel Highlands couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 56-55 to Derry.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ethan Koffler, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Ringer, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Seneca Valley on the road against Perry Traditional Academy on Saturday as the squad secured a 84-41 win. The win was just what Seneca Valley needed coming off of a 67-40 defeat in their prior matchup.
Laurel Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Seneca Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
