Football Game Preview: Lightridge Bolts vs. Freedom Eagles + How To Watch

The Lightridge Bolts will head out on the road to square off against the Freedom Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Lightridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 26-20 to Potomac Falls.

Meanwhile, Freedom put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Dominion with a sharp 34-8 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Lightridge better keep an eye on Bo Duong. He was instrumental in Freedom's win, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Cooke, who threw for 153 yards on only six passes.

Freedom was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

One reason for the win was Freedom's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Andrew Lewis with three. Ryan Mulcahy was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles.

Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lightridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Lightridge against Freedom when the teams last played back in August of 2024, as the squad secured a 39-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bolts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
