Volleyball Recap: Eastern Greene Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jolie Brown and Kierington Wyatt

Eastern Greene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mitchell Bluejackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

Eastern Greene's loss came despite strong showings from Kierington Wyatt and Jolie Brown. Wyatt had 15 digs and three aces, while Brown had 11 kills and one block. Brown is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Natalee Nissley had a dynamite game For Mitchell., getting 24 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Nissley has posted over her last six contests. Miley Pruett was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Eastern Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Mitchell, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Eastern Greene has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Owen Valley on the 17th. As for Mitchell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Springs Valley on the 18th.
