Clara Gourley was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Gourley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sam Bandley, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
