Athens never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Williamson Warriors as they made off with a 12-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Duncan Thetga looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eli Hobday, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Brady Flynn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Athens' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Williamson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
