Baseball Recap: Portland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Portland can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Clinton Dragons.

Portland got a big performance out of Tyler Schaefer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Schaefer has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Guthrie, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Portland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Portland's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Clinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Portland will face off against White House at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clinton, they will square off against Halls at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
