The Middletown Blue Dragons had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They snuck past West Haven with a 48-43 victory.
Middletown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Studinski led the charge by scoring 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalyn Smith, who scored ten points.
Middletown's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for West Haven, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Middletown will be playing at home against Bristol Central at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Haven, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
