Basketball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Northside - Pinetown had won six straight games and Olivia Jane Cahoon did her part to make it seven on Friday. The Northside - Pinetown Panthers really took it to the Columbia Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-33 win thanks in part to Cahoon, who went 13 of 24 on her way to 35 points and three steals. The match was her fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tatianna Moore, who posted 11 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Northside - Pinetown's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.5 points. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Northside - Pinetown and Hobgood Charter will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Columbia, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lawrence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
