On Friday, things could have been worse for Texas Wind, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-25 loss to Meyer. Texas Wind has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meyer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Skylar Hicks, who scored 11 points. Shelby Starr was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Texas Wind's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Meyer, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-12.
Texas Wind will take on Valor Kyle at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Texas Wind is coming into the match with four straight losses on the road, meaning Valor Kyle will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Meyer will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Riesel at 7:30 p.m. on February 12th. Riesel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
