The Clinton Cougars will take on the South Beloit Sobos at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Clinton will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Clinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Delavan-Darien a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, South Beloit fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Pecatonica on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. Macey Lineman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Ambrose, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

South Beloit's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clinton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for South Beloit, though, as they've been averaging 10.6 hits. Given Clinton's sizable advantage in that area, the Sobos will need to find a way to close that gap.
