Having just played yesterday, the Tarrant Wildcats will jump right back in to play the Chilton County Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tarrant has three straight victories, Chilton County has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tarrant beat Dallas County 52-48.
Meanwhile, Chilton County pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between Chilton County and Gardendale wasn't particularly close, with Chilton County falling 73-59. While losing is never fun, Chilton County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Gardendale is ranked 87th).
Tarrant is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Chilton County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
