McKenzie will be up against a hot Brantley team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Brantley blew past Elba 73-40 on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Tigers are ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jayden Parks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 16 en route to 30 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. He has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Jon Kilcrease was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McKenzie, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Red Level with a sharp 77-53 victory on Thursday.
McKenzie's win came from a few key players Brantley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Quay Jackson, who went 10 for 14 on his way to 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards.
McKenzie is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Brantley, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's game: Brantley has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 52.9% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for McKenzie, though, as they've only made 23% of their threes this season. Given Brantley's sizable advantage in that area, McKenzie will need to find a way to close that gap.
