Caydence Powell posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Powell's effort led Autauga Academy over Billingsley and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
