Horizon needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Sofia Garcia. The Scorpions breezed past the Del Valle Conquistadores to the tune of 47-15 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Garcia, who went 8-for-17 to rack up 21 points and five steals. Horizon is undefeated when Garcia posts five or more steals, but 8-12 otherwise.
The team also got some help courtesy of Roxanne Solis, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.
The victory got Horizon back to even at 12-12. As for Del Valle, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-22.
