Football Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Bruce

Bruce put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the J.Z. George Jaguars as they made off with a 36-14 victory. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 22 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bruce to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jermaine Jackson, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one TD on the ground. With that strong performance, Jackson is now averaging an impressive 102.8 receiving yards per game. James Fred Gaiter handled things on the ground, rushing for 105 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Bruce's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for J.Z. George, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bruce will face off against Water Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Joshua Long and Zae Bradford. As for J.Z. George, they will square off against North Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators' defense has only allowed 3.5 points per game this season, so the Jaguars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
