After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hobbs, the Las Cruces Bulldawgs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Roswell by a score of 57-46. That's another feather in the cap for Las Cruces, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bethzy Quinones was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Las Cruces' points. Another player making a difference was Danae Pacheco, who scored 15 points.
Las Cruces has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Roswell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
Las Cruces will be playing at home against Carlsbad at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Roswell, they will head out on the road to face off against Mayfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mayfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday.
