Basketball Recap: Southern Nash Drops Season-High Score on Nash Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Nash). They enjoyed a cozy 60-45 victory over the Nash Central Bulldogs on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Firebirds considering their 23-point performance the matchup before.

Southern Nash had a senior duo take command as Brandon Hill almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards and George Richardson dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. Jaden Hartsfield was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Southern Nash now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Nash Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Southern Nash will head out to take on Rocky Mount at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Rocky Mount knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Southern Nash likes a good challenge. As for Nash Central, they will welcome Franklinton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklinton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
