The Juab Wasps will be playing at home against the Manti Templars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Juab came up short against Richfield and fell 55-42. Juab has struggled against Richfield recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Manti scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down North Sanpete 61-45. The win was a breath of fresh air for Manti as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manti to victory, but perhaps none more so than June Olsen, who scored 16 points. Olsen has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Olson, who scored 14 points.
Juab's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Manti, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.
Juab won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by Manti 57-56. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Olsen, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Juab still be able to contain Olsen? There's only one way to find out.
