Piper Berry posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Berry and Round Lake will square off against Grayslake North at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The last time these two faced off, Berry and Co. were forced to settle for a 20-0 loss.
