There's no place like home for the Roy Royals, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 74-64 victory over Clearfield on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Roy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bronson Belnap out in front who scored 12 points along with eight assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Isaac Burnett, who scored 18 points.
Roy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Clearfield, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9.
Roy will square off against Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clearfield, they will be playing at home against Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Bountiful's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
