In what's become a running theme this season, Lincoln Northeast gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 69-25 win over Buena Vista. With Lincoln Northeast ahead 46-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Doneelah Washington, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Washington is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Serena Heeren was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Papillion-LaVista typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Benson proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Monarchs 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lincoln Northeast's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Benson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
