After flying high against the Cedar Creek Christian Saints back in December of 2023, the Parsons Christian Academy Lions came back down to earth. Parsons Christian Academy was dealt a 59-27 defeat at the hands of Trinity Christian Academy on Thursday. Parsons Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.
Parsons Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Smith , who scored six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Moricette, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The game was Moricette's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Anderson, who scored nine points along with six assists and three steals.
Parsons Christian Academy's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parsons Christian Academy will square off against Beaches Chapel at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Beaches Chapel is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Middleburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middleburg will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
