While Burns put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Bessemer City. Burns put the hurt on Bessemer City with a sharp 19-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven games by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Burns' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Bessemer City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burns will welcome East Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burns' pitchers better be ready for this one: East Gaston has averaged an impressive 14.4 runs per game this season. As for Bessemer City, they will host Hickory at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
