After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sayre, the North Penn-Liberty Mountie were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Williamson by a score of 60-52. That's another feather in the cap for North Penn-Liberty, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
North Penn-Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Kreger led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Louis Mercantino, who scored 19 points.
The win got North Penn-Liberty back to even at 6-6. As for Williamson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Penn-Liberty will challenge Northeast Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast Bradford will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Williamson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Canton at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Canton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
