Given American's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while iMater Charter is ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Booker T. Washington now has a winning record of 5-4. As for American, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
