The Olympia Bears''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-19 victory over Rogers. The win was just what Olympia needed coming off of a 40-13 loss in their prior matchup.
Olympia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaiden Fox out in front who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Hejtmanek, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Olympia's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Rogers, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Olympia will take on Bellarmine Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Bellarmine Prep is ranked 62nd, while Olympia is ranked 73rd). As for Rogers, they will be playing at home against Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Emerald Ridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
