The Skyline Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Skyline's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over East. The win was just what Skyline needed coming off of a 78-47 defeat in their prior match.
Skyline found their leader in underclassman Trenton Wells, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Bierman, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Highland was able to grind out a solid win over East on Friday, taking the game 29-20. Given Highland's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while East is ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Highland, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Skyline was able to grind out a solid victory over Highland in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 72-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyline since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
