Kauai have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Saturday they take on Waimea at Vidinha Stadium at 2:30 PM. Kauai are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
The last time they met, Kauai were the 13-3 winner over Kapa'a. This time around? They had no such luck. Kauai took a hard 0-20 fall against Kapa'a. Kauai's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Waimea, and their match last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to four. They were given a punishing 6-59 defeat at the hands of Kapa'a. If Waimea were hoping to take revenge for the 0-38 defeat against Kapa'a the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
