Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Colby

Colby had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They never let the Goodland Cowboys get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly ten runs.

Maddie McCarty was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Cheney, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Colby pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Goodland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colby will head out to face off against Russell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Goodland, they will square off against Hugoton at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
