The Ignacio Bobcats will take on the Nucla Mustangs at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Nucla will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Ignacio extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Bobcats came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against Dolores. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Ambrose Valdez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Sonny Flores was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nucla). They blew past La Veta 19-5 on Friday.
Jackson McCabe made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nucla is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-7 otherwise. McCabe was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Brycen Rummel was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Cole Bray, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Nucla hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Ignacio's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Nucla, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Nucla's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Ignacio has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Nucla, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Ignacio keep running through batters, or will the Mustangs buck the trend?
Everything went Ignacio's way against Nucla when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Ignacio made off with an 11-3 victory. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
