The Osceola Seminoles were the 20-14 winner over the Hoxie Mustangs when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Osceola's tough 35-14 defeat to Hoxie on Friday might stick with them for a while. Osceola was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Although Osceola took the loss, they still got scores from Tyler Bell and Maurice (MJ) Washington.
Kayden Glenn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 99 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Brooks, who gained 122 total yards and a touchdown.
Osceola's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hoxie, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osceola will take on Manila at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Manila is ranked 149th, while Osceola is ranked 135th). As for Hoxie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Ridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
