The Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage Academy.
Despite the loss, Wabasha-Kellogg still got an impressive performance from Ileana DeAngel, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. DeAngel scored a full 60% of Wabasha-Kellogg's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brielle Adams, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Wabasha-Kellogg were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 35 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Wabasha-Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Heritage Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Wabasha-Kellogg will head out on the road to face off against Spring Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Grove will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Heritage Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
