The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 49-40 win over Miller. The victory was just what Bishop Rosecrans needed coming off of a 40-8 loss in their prior contest.
Bishop Rosecrans found their leader in underclassman Abby Sagan, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Sagan scored 15 or more points. Maddie Bernett was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Miller lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lillian Anderson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Keller, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Bishop Rosecrans' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Miller, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Bishop Rosecrans will be home for the holidays to greet Harvest Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvest Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bishop Rosecrans in Ohio (Harvest Prep is ranked 316th, while Bishop Rosecrans is ranked 637th). As for Miller, they will head out on the road to face off against Trimble at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Trimble is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
