Softball Recap: Northern Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Northern extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 9-6 in the process. Everything went their way against the Patuxent Panthers as they made off with a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Northern got a big performance out of Madison Jewett, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Brooke MacAulay was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Patuxent, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Patuxent's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Bruno, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northern is set to face off against their familiar foe North Point at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Patuxent will take on rival Great Mills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
