The Oswego Indians's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Golden City by a score of 60-49.
Oswego's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Hutchinson, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hutchinson has scored at least 25% of Oswego's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Long, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Spencer Parrill, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. Ethan Pettengill was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Golden City were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oswego only posted three.
The win got Oswego back to even at 1-1. As for Golden City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Oswego will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chetopa at 5:30 p.m. Golden City is on the road again on Thursday and play against St. Paul at 8:30 p.m. on December 7th.
