Logos is 0-2 against Prairie since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Logos Knights Crest will be playing in front of their home fans against the Prairie Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Logos put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They breezed by Troy on the road to the tune of 66-18. Given Logos' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Troy is ranked 34th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jack Driskill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 337 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Driskill is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lucius Comis, who picked up 130 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Prairie at home against Clearwater Valley on Friday as the team secured a 46-8 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.
Prairie's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Behler, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Dylan Uhlenkott was another key contributor, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns.
Logos' win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Logos has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 223.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Prairie struggles in that department as they've been even better at 251.3 per game. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Logos was taken down by Prairie 48-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Logos have more luck at home instead of on the road?
