Brighton hadn't done well against Hartland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bulldogs never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brighton let Kendall Peckens and Libby Carah run wild. Peckens went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Carah went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Carah has posted since back in April of 2025. Chloe Sageman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Brighton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 7-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory (which was Brighton's third in a row) raised their record to 11-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Hartland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Brighton will face off against Grand Haven at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hartland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lake Shore at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
