The Colonel Richardson Colonels had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Washington by a score of 81-71 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Washington's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jalen Wigfall, who scored 16 points. Elijah Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Colonel Richardson's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Pocomoke the next time they take the court. Washington will host Pocomoke at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Colonel Richardson will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
