Even though the South Hagerstown Rebels have not done well against the Linganore Lancers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. South Hagerstown walked away with a 68-55 victory over the Lancers. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Linganore lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Daveon Black, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Black has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Donaldson, who scored six points along with seven assists and five steals.
South Hagerstown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Linganore, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Hagerstown will face off against the Cadets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frederick will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Linganore, they will head out on the road to challenge the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Governor Thomas Johnson is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Lancers a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
