 Pojoaque Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Raven Naranjo, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 On Lovington's side,  Mika Pando was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Wieser, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
 Pojoaque Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lovington, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-8.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pojoaque Valley will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Robertson at 11:00  a.m. As for Lovington, they will  challenge Moriarty at 1:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Lovington will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.
