The Field Falcons will face off against the Crestwood Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Field's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
Field proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry, sneaking past 11-9.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crestwood). They were the clear victors by a 21-10 margin over Orange on Thursday.
Bella Stier made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Jocelyn Johnson was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Hayes, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Crestwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .540. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Field has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Crestwood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Field got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 against Crestwood by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
