The Immanuel Baptist Fire can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down Juniata Christian 45-29. That looming 45-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Immanuel Baptist yet this season.
Despite the loss, Juniata Christian had strong showings from Jack Bryan, who scored 14 points, and Nathan Wright, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds. Bryan scored a full 48.3% of Juniata Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Flanders, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Immanuel Baptist's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3. As for Juniata Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Immanuel Baptist will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethany Christian at 1:06 p.m. on Thursday. As for Juniata Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Lapeer Lakers Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
