The Litchfield Purple Panthers lost against the Nokomis Redskins back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Litchfield took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nokomis.
Despite the loss, Litchfield had strong showings from Aj Odle, who scored 15 points along with seven steals, and Victor Mcgill, who scored 20 points. Odle scored a full 31.3% of Litchfield's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Carson Saathoff, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Nokomis, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Litchfield is on the road again on Tuesday and play against East Alton-Wood River at 1:30 p.m. on December 26th. East Alton-Wood River is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Nokomis will be home for the holidays to greet Mt. Olive at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mt. Olive focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
