After a string of six wins, the Manchester Blue Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Upson-Lee.
Manchester lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Laziya Moody, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermiah Martin, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Upson-Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will take on Macon County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Macon County is ranked 230th, while Manchester is ranked 222nd). As for Upson-Lee, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mary Persons at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Mary Persons focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
