The Indian Creek Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Greenwood Woodmen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Greenwood likes a good challenge.
Indian Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 34 points or more this season. They blew past North Putnam 84-46 on the road. The score was close at the half, but Indian Creek pulled away in the second half with 53 points.
Indian Creek's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lauren Foster, who scored 19 points along with nine assists and three steals. The contest was Foster's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Ayla Lollar was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Greenwood was the victim of a tough 57-37 defeat at the hands of Bloomington South on Friday.
Indian Creek pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Greenwood, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Indian Creek strolled past Greenwood when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 38-19. Will Indian Creek repeat their success, or does Greenwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
