The St. John Woodchucks stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] 62-40. The win was familiar territory for St. John who now have three in a row.
Leading St. John to victory were Kaycee Desjarlais and Alani Morin. Desjarlais dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Morin dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Morin is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Eliza Slater, who scored five points along with five assists and five steals.
St. John has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland], they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John will take on Dakota Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
