After flying high against the Clarenceville Trojans last Tuesday, the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles came back down to earth. Plymouth Christian Academy fell 52-44 to Genesee Christian on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Plymouth Christian Academy in their matchups with Genesee Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Plymouth Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Ray Weber, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Beasley, who scored 17 points.
Plymouth Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Genesee Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plymouth Christian Academy will face off against Oakland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Plymouth Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Genesee Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 534th, while Genesee Christian is ranked 212th).
